Rules and Regulations
12 minute games run clock
Stop clock within 2 goals in last 2 minutes
2 Minute warm up in between games
4 vs 4 no substitutes(goalie is 5th player)
Minor penalties are a penalty shot (regular NHL penalties)
Major penalties are a penalty shot and player DQ
If goal is scored, goal against team starts with puck behind the net
If puck out of play, non causing team starts with puck behind own net(no delay of game penalty)
All players must have a helmet, shin pads, elbow pads, stick, cup, and skates(goalies can have shoes or skates)
All first time players must sign a waiver
Shootout if tied after 12 minute regulation
3 points for win in regulation, 2 points for win in shootout, 1 point for shootout loss
Fighting results in player DQ for remainder of tournament
**Teams with a DQ player will play the rest of the game and/or tournament with 3 players, depending on the severity of the DQ. Refer to the next rule for reserve players**
Teams are allowed one reserve player in the event of an injury or DQ(player must be registered and play at least one round robin game in order to be eligible for playoffs)
Individuals may play multiple divisions(refer to the registration page for division allowance)
If an independent player plays in the Gold division, they are ineligible to play in the Bronze division
If a team deliberately forfeits their last round robin game, they are deemed ineligible to playoffs
Tie breakers in round robin will be decided in order by head to head, goals for, goals against, coin flip
